Event Information

Thank you for joining us! You can re-watch the program at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6CZwhglC4M

Our virtual Celebrate the Love event will consist of three parts:

  1. Virtual activity rooms - Choose from a variety of activities, games, entertainment, and social spaces while making your bids in the silent auction (10:45 to 11:20)
  2. Program - Watch the program live-streamed here on this website and share space at your virtual table in a Zoom breakout room (11:30 to 12:00)
  3. Post-program social time - We’ll keep the virtual tables open and also hold an informal Q&A of staff and board leadership (12:05 to 12:30)

As a guest, you are not required or obligated to attend all three parts. Rather, we are aiming to provide a menu of programming so you can choose what interests you and what fits into your day.

RECLAIMing Togetherness!

It’s been a tough year – come CELEBRATE and support the resilience of RECLAIM’s communities! Our first-ever interactive virtual Celebrate the Love event features an expanded silent auction, virtual activity rooms, entertainment, plenty of opportunities to socialize, and a lineup of speakers designed to inspire and heal.

Let’s RECLAIM Togetherness!

RECLAIM remains the only culturally and financially accessible queer and trans youth–specific (ages 13-26) mental health resource in the region. We offer life-changing therapy for youth and families, develop trans-competent practitioners, and partner in community at the intersection of gender and racial justice. In the past year, we served more youth than ever, meeting an increased need for our services during Covid-19. Queer and trans youth – and their RECLAIM clinicians – demonstrated incredible resilience in the face of pandemic-related pressures. We continue to have a long waiting list for new clients, and we need your support more than ever!

Thank you to our sponsors:

Any questions or concerns? Before or after Celebrate the Love please contact us at development@reclaim.care or 612-235-6743 x2. We'll have a hotline to call on the day of the event.

We strive to hold an event that is as accessible and inclusive as possible. Please communicate any accessibility requests to development@reclaim.care. Here is our current accessibility plan:

  • The livestreamed program video will have ASL interpretation embedded in the video, we will post a written transcript, and the program video will be available online after the event for asynchronous viewing with captions. The video does not have descriptive audio or captions in the livestream but each speaker will be introduced by name verbally and through text on screen.
  • We have posted a spreadsheet of silent auction items and have staff available by phone and email for concierge bidding in the silent auction, i.e. placing a bid (or making a donation) at a guest's written or verbal direction. This eliminates the need for guests to directly interact with the auction website, as it doesn't play nice with screen readers. We will have a 1-day response time for concierge bidding email/phone messages from February 20 to 26, and will be on-call via email and phone on February 27 starting at 10:00 am until the silent auction closes at 1:00 pm. Concierge bidding contact: development@reclaim.care or 612-235-6743 x2.
  • Instructions for accessing each part of the event will be conveyed ahead of time in writing and on the day of the event in both verbal and written formats.
  • We will use a separate Zoom meeting for each activity room. Virtual tables will happen through a single Zoom meeting as breakout rooms. We will turn on automated live transcription in all cases, although it is not 100% accurate and won't be available in the breakout rooms. Learn more about Zoom accessibility functions, including keyboard shortcuts.
  • Some virtual activity rooms are designed to be more accessible to those with sensory disabilities, particularly the Bingo room.
  • You are welcome to turn on your camera while in Zoom rooms, but you are never obligated to do so. All activities are optional.
