About the RCA
Created in 1911, The Rowayton Civic Association (RCA) is a 100% volunteer run organization consisting of 25 individuals who dedicate their time and talents to put on Rowayton’s cherished events. The generosity and support of our residents is the driving force behind the RCA’s ability to produce 20 yearly events such as River Ramble, Summer Music Festival and Comedy Night.
In addition to enriching the culture of Rowayton, the RCA has significantly impacted local schools and nonprofit organizations through generous grants. Our mission extends beyond civic engagement into meaningful local philanthropy. Did you know;
- 100% of all profits from fundraising events are donated to local schools and initiatives such as Rowayton Elementary School, the Rowayton Historical Society, and the Hands for Life AED program,
- Last year the RCA granted over $43,000 back to local community organizations,
- The second annual RCA Scholarship was granted to two seniors from Brien McMahon High School,
- We continue our “Slow Down In Town Campaign” to keep our roads safe.
