Dear Friends, 

On behalf of the Public Interest Law Center, I am delighted to welcome you to our 2026 annual event: A Night of Impact, as we gather to celebrate our work for justice, equity, and civil rights. 

In 2026, we continue to face the rollback of long-standing protections, confront unprecedented injustice, and tackle threats to the most vulnerable members of our society. The Public Interest Law Center is steadfast in its commitment to defend fundamental rights and make real change possible. Your attendance and participation at A Night of Impact ensures our continued advocacy.

At the heart of this year’s event is a celebration of the courage of our clients, the dedication of our pro bono co-counsel, and the generosity of the supporters who help us achieve positive outcomes for the people we represent.

During this important evening, we will highlight how we fight for fair funding for public education, protect voting rights, advocate for environmental justice and access to healthcare, and work to eliminate housing discrimination. Along with you and other generous supporters, we will mark our victories and rededicate ourselves to this vital work. 

We also will be honoring with the Thaddeus Stevens Award our anonymous young clients and their parents, who are courageously standing up to oppose the federal government's demand for their private medical records, and Ballard Spahr, our pro bono co-counsel in this important fight. Although the clients we honor this year cannot join us on stage and their names will remain confidential, these families stepped forward at a moment of fear and uncertainty to protect their children and their communities.

On behalf of the entire Public Interest Law Center team, thank you for helping us make a meaningful impact in 2026. Together, we can continue to protect and expand access to justice for all.
