For the Love of Art

The San José arts community has thrived due to the dedication and love for the arts exemplified by numerous individuals, including Sheila and Ralph Pickett. The Pickett collection reflects Ralph and Sheila’s own process of investigating what artists were thinking and creating and why, while surrounding themselves with artworks that challenged ideas about artmaking.

They were deeply committed to supporting artists and actively involved in multiple Bay Area and San José arts institutions. In recent years we have lost these dedicated souls. The community now has an opportunity to view, appreciate, and acquire some of the more than 450 works of art that Ralph and Sheila collected over many decades.

Please join us at Art Object Gallery on Sunday, June 23, at 3pm-6pm for the opening reception, and Saturday, July 27, at 6-9pm for the silent auction. All proceeds benefit the ICA San José. We hope to see you there.
