COVID POLICY: Consistent with current state and local regulations and guidance, the Upper Midwest Emmy® Chapter will not require proof of vaccination or recent negative test results to attend the 2022 Awards Ceremony. 

We will comply with any mask mandate in place in the City of Bloomington at the time of the conference. In the absence of a state or local mandate, mask-wearing will be voluntary and encouraged.

We are closely monitoring COVID information from the CDC and state health departments across the region. That information includes infection rates, vaccination rates and mitigation recommendations.

UPPER MIDWEST EMMY® GALA LIMITED LIABILITY WAIVER

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life threatening illness and even death . 


The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – Upper Midwest Foundation cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending its events and/or entering onto premises where NATAS events are held.


It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to attend an event organized by NATAS and enter onto premises where its conferences are held, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

BY PURCHASING TICKETS TO THIS EVENT, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LAWSUIT/LIABILITY WAIVER.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:  I have read and understood the above warning concerning COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself in order to attend The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – Upper Midwest Chapter and enter venue premises. Upper Midwest Emmy® Awards is of such value to me that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to attend in person.


WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY: I hereby forever release and waive my right to bring suit against The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – Upper Midwest Chapter and its owners, officers, board of governors, managers, officials, trustees, agents, employees, or other representatives for fault in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to attending its event . I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claim based on negligence, including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.


CHOICE OF LAW: I understand and agree that the law of the State of Minnesota will apply to this contract.

UPPER MIDWEST EMMY® GALA EVENT GUEST CODE OF CONDUCT

A code of conduct is a collection of rules and regulations that include what is and is not acceptable or expected behavior.


Based on our common set of beliefs in the value of live event experiences we know to be true, as stakeholders we all have a role to play in the mitigation of risk. The code of conduct below is meant to serve as a reminder and inspiration to know that if we all collectively respect the significance of this contribution, we are by definition advocating for the well-being of our fellow global citizens and our industry.


Before Leaving Home

  • Follow relevant guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), or your local health authority.
  • Adhere to government issued travel restrictions and guidance issued by the region you will be travelling to and the region you are traveling from.
  • Evaluate your own health and that of people you are in close contact with; contact the meeting/event organizers if you have concerns.
  • Stay home if you feel sick.


On-site During the Event 

  • Immediately leave the event at any time, if you feel unwell or are experiencing flu-like symptoms.


Post-event
