Auction Rules

  • Items may be added or withdrawn, without notice.
  • All sales are final and, unless otherwise specified, there will be no exchanges or refunds.
  • Gift cards or certificates are subject to “black-out” dates.
  • Each bidder assumes all risks and hazards related to the silent auction and items.
  • Bidding opens online on April 26 at 8:00 a.m. The Silent Auction bidding will end on May 1 at 9:00 p.m.
  • Age restrictions may apply (on items such as liquor, gift cards to wine bars, or overnight trips).
  • Items may not be re-sold or donated to another person, entity or charity.  Please respect the restrictions of the donor. No cash back or refunds on certificates. Restaurant certificates cannot be used for catering services unless specified. Unless otherwise specified, 1) all auction items and services must be used within one year from the date of the auction; 2) dates and times should be arranged between the donor and the buyer; and 3) tax and gratuity are not included on restaurant gift certificates.
  • Syndicates are legal for our live auction. If you choose to participate in a syndicate, please proceed as follows: organize your syndicate; select your auction item; appoint a godfather to do the bidding; agree on the dollar amount of your bid. If your syndicate wins, the syndicate must pay in full on the evening of the auction.
  • The highest Live Auction bidder on any item acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser, who thereupon assumes full risk and responsibility. By his/her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability against either Loyola Academy or the donor of the property or service.  The auctioneer retains the right to announce conditions of sales at any time.
  • Winning bidders will receive an email by 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 2, with details on their item and how to collect their item.
  • 3% credit card fee will be added to your credit card checkup.  You may check out yourself and opt-out of the credit card fees.
  • If you would like to pay by check, please email rambleauction@loy.org.
  • Winning bidders will know they won because they won't receive an outbid text.
  • By providing your telephone number for a mobile device, you are expressly consenting to receive communications. We may contact you for non-marketing purposes, including but not limited to, communications regarding event details and updates, auction items, and donation confirmations. Calls and messages may incur fees and charges from your mobile services provider; you are responsible for all such fees and charges. We are not responsible for any delayed or failed messages not timely received by you. To stop receiving unsolicited communications, reply with keywords STOP.
  • Auction Rules may be updated at any time.
