Our 4th Annual Builder’s Ball will be held on November 7, 2020

Event Information

The Builder’s Ball is our annual fundraiser to celebrate and raise funds to support our affordable housing mission. Due to COVID-19 and with the health and safety of our community in mind, this year’s Builder’s Ball will be held virtually, and it's free!

The cost to build a new Habitat for Humanity home is approximately $154,000 and our goal is to raise 50% of the cost at our annual Builder's Ball on Saturday, November 7, 2020!

Your generous support of the Builder’s Ball allows Loveland Habitat for Humanity to continue our affordable homeownership mission.

Meet Who You are Helping

Alexa

Alexa is a third grade teacher in Loveland. Currently, she lives in a house with four other people and doesn't qualify for a mortgage with her income. Owning her own home has been her dream for a long time and believes this opportunity will change her life drastically. Alexa believes this will make her feel more a part of the community and give her confidence and security in her living situation.

Samantha

Samantha, a previous teacher who is now disabled but has found work at a dental lab in Loveland, currently has substandard housing. She lives in a 40 year old fifth wheel she owns and houses on a friend’s property.  She pays lot rent. The home is in disrepair, the roof has been fixed many times, but still leaks. She lives in LaPorte and the wind is sometimes pretty ferocious. The trailer sways in the wind. There is no typical plumbing, therefor she uses a compostable toilet which is less than ideal. A Habitat home would provide safe and stable housing.

Grace

Grace is a single mother of boys—12 and 14. They like to play sports and be outside but their apartment complex is little worrisome. The youngest son has asthma and many tenants smoke (smoking is allowed in the apartment units) which permeates the walls and triggers asthma attacks. Grace has worked at the same car dealership for several years. Having a habitat home would allow the boys to have a yard to play in and not always be worried about playing quietly. This would be a great blessing to her family.

Becki

Becki is a single mother of an 8 year old daughter. Becki is rebuilding her life. She has worked hard to help heal all of the wounds she and her daughter have endured over the years. She has been working at an appliance repair company for the last year and a half. With her Habitat home, Becki will be paying less than she currently pays for an apartment in Loveland. Having this opportunity is an answer to prayer.

Malissa

Malissa is a single mom of three kids. Malissa was a stay at home mom until her divorce. Now she has worked for King Soopers for the last 2 years. They are currently living in her parent’s basement. The basement only has one bedroom and a family room. Malissa's 15 year old daughter and 13 year old son share the bedroom. Malissa and youngest daughter share the pullout bed in the family room area. This is a life long dream of Malissa's to become independent and provide a safe home for her children.

About Loveland Habitat for Humanity

Loveland Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing ministry that displays the care of Jesus Christ to people from all walks of life regardless of faith. We work with people in need, while striving to make affordable housing a matter of conscience throughout the Loveland area and around the world.

We work to provide a hand up, not a handout. Habitat volunteers build houses in partnership with low income families. The houses are then sold to the families at no profit and no interest.

To accomplish this, we raise money, recruit volunteers and work in partnership with low income people needing housing. We believe that by working at a local level, we can better use our resources and make an immediate difference in people’s lives.

We empower families to own their own home, and have income available for other basic needs.

We help families build strength, stability and self reliance.
