Students at LMA and Turning Pages need our support. In addition, students from around the area who wish to attend need assistance to cover the cost of tuition. Every $1,000 raised, offers a family the chance to be a part of LMA. As a school, we grow together and the more students we gain, the better our program becomes. Be a part of the growth for Lake Michigan Academy and Turning Pages
Lake Michigan Academy strives to positively impact the future of children with learning differences. We enable students to focus and build their strengths, not their weaknesses. Students leave LMA with renewed self-esteem and lifelong tools for success. Our alumni continue to develop learning skills, social skills, and self-awareness techniques which help them become successful beyond the classroom.
Turning Pages is a Grand Rapids-based non-profit organization that provides one-on-one tutoring for children and adults, in reading, writing and spelling. We tutor using the Orton-Gillingham approach which is multi-sensory and phonetic. We also provide training for parents in this approach, so they may create effective lessons for their home-schooled children or for tips and techniques when reading and spelling at home.
