WHO WE ARE
We are a group of people that have “helped” people in the past by giving them “things,” but have realized that giving them things did not get to the root of their problems. We have created a ministry for the homeless that will allow Jesus to get to the root of their homelessness and heal them from the inside out. We believe that true healing only comes when we allow Jesus to heal our hearts.
WHO WE SERVE
Our clients are single homeless mothers and their children and targets women that need a “hand up” not a “hand out.” When a client is accepted into the program, they will, together with their case manager, identify goals that will help them move forward towards independence. Clients meet with their case managers weekly and will be held accountable in moving forward to reach their goals. In addition to working towards their goals, clients will also meet with a financial mentor on a regular basis to establish a budget, and learn how to incorporate a budget into their daily living. Parenting classes, mentoring, nutrition classes and cooking classes will all be available to our clients. We accept all women into our program, regardless of their faith.
Our annual fundraiser is critical to SFTSM'S ongoing ability to support homeless children and their mom's in our community. This is our largest fundraising event of the year and we rely on it to continue our programming for our families and community.
We owe so much to our wonderful sponsors!
