Since 1993, the Junior League of Washington’s Tossed & Found rummage sale has welcomed more than 85,000 shoppers, providing bargain prices on high-quality, gently used merchandise to DC-area individuals, families, and community groups. Proceeds from the sale are used to advance the League’s mission of improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Over Tossed & Found’s 30-year history, the sale has raised nearly $2.8 million, supported hundreds of community members through our Community Partner programs, and found new homes for thousands of items.
About the Junior League of Washington
The Junior League of Washington (JLW) is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. The JLW strives to be a vibrant presence in the lives of the women and children in the greater metropolitan area of the District of Columbia, serving as a resource throughout the community to effect positive change, seek common ground, and inspire hope.
At present, over 2,300 women in the Washington, DC, area are members of the JLW. The League organizes and trains these women for effective action and leadership in our community through orientations, seminars, and “hands-on” experience. Redemption Instructions
Auction items will be available for pick up from the Tossed & Found site at 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202 starting March 15 after the auction closes until March 23. Items may be picked up on March 16-17 from 9:00-4:00, March 19 from 6:00-9:00pm, March 21 from 6:00-9:00pm or March 23 from 9:00-12:00. After March 23, auction winners will need to coordinate pickup of unclaimed items by emailing tossedandfound@jlw.org. Any items not claimed by April 15 will be considered the property of JLW. Auction winners may choose to have their items shipped and will be charged for the cost of shipping. Alcohol can be picked up starting March 16 and cannot be shipped. Please bring a valid ID to pick up alcohol.
