About the PFA
Our mission is to enhance and enrich the educational experience of our students. We accomplish this through the generous help and support of our parents, teachers, staff, and our community. All PFA activities and money raised directly benefit the students, teachers and staff. We enhance technology, physical education, science, the music program, library, and playground, and we fully fund and operate a parent volunteer art program.
The PFA bridges the financial gap between what the school needs, and what it receives in funding from the state and grants. Our budget for the year includes $317K in expenses. Here are some of the most important items that you can help support:
- Interventionists and Aides - $80,000 (Math, English Language Arts, Bilingual, Kinder)
- Art Coordinator and art supplies - $17,000
- Library Supplies in both English and Spanish - $10,000
- Classroom supplies - $10,000
- Computer Teacher - $5,000
- PE Teacher - $7,500
- Social Emotional Learning Curriculum - $7,500
- Ink/Toner - $3,000
- Garden Shed Project - $3,200
- "Just Ask" - $8,000 (staff can make mid-year requests for special items and projects)
