The much anticipated A Night to Inspire Gala, brings together 500 members of BC’s philanthropic community to celebrate the impact of supportive cancer care. This black tie affair features a night of entertainment, inspiration, and giving while treating guests to a gourmet meal and the opportunity to bid on bespoke auction items. The evening will be hosted by emcee Fred Lee and CTV news anchor Mi-Jung Lee, with inspiring performances and patient stories making this a night to remember.

As we come together, we hope to raise $500,000 to provide essential supportive care services for those living with cancer. Since the onset of the pandemic, demand for our services has surged, doubling the number of annual patient visitations to InspireHealth. Your generosity will provide better health and recovery options for cancer patients in need across British Columbia.

What happens if Provincial Health Orders do not allow in person gatherings? Should the in person Vancouver gala need to move to a virtual model due to Provincial Health Orders, those who purchased tickets to the in person event will have their Fairmont Waterfront 3 course meal delivered right to their home and given access to our live stream evening program.

What is your Covid-19 policy? InspireHealth is planning A Night to Inspire gala with your safety in mind and as such, will follow all British Columbia public health orders.

Do you issue refunds for in-person ticket sales? Should we be unable to host an in-person event in Vancouver due to public health concerns, we will bring the event to you with a three-course meal from the Fairmont Waterfront delivered to you and/or your guests’ home to enjoy alongside the gala virtual live stream. One of our event coordinators will reach out to coordinate.  If you are unable to join us for an in-person or virtual dinner event your ticket will be converted to a fully tax receiptable donation in lieu of a refund. Please contact for more information.

What does a virtual gala mean? A virtual gala is a live stream of our in person gala event in Vancouver. A virtual gala allows our guests to join the event from all over the province, and to participate through the internet instead of in person. Participants will tune into our livestream program (on your TV, laptop or tablet) for a night of inspiration featuring moving patient stories and live entertainment.

Do virtual ticket purchasers have access to the live and silent auction? Yes! As long as the ticket holder registers as a bidder they will have online access to both the silent auction and can make a reserve bid for the live auction up to 24 hours before the event.

How can I join the gala from outside of the centre communities (Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna) ? You can join us virtually! By making a donation, you will receive a link to join the live streamed evening program. Contact for more information on outside community centre virtual tickets.

Who will be catering the Inspiring Virtual Evening at-home gala experience? South Vancouver Island and Central Okanagan virtual ticket purchasers will receive a thoughtfully curated charcuterie box for TWO delivered to their homes, or the location of their choosing (limited delivery locations - see ticket page for specifics on delivery locations within your region). South Vancouver Island charcuterie vendor - Charcuterie and Co. Central Okanagan charcuterie vendor - TJ Graze.

What does it mean to host a virtual gala? Those who choose to host a virtual gala invite a group of guests to enjoy a live stream of our gala together in the comfort of your own home. Should your group choose to enjoy our virtual stream together in one location, all your charcuterie boxes will be delivered together to the location of the host's choosing (must be located in one of the outlined delivery locations found on our ticket page). If you go this route, we encourage you to dress up and take and share photos of you looking fabulous!

Do you have tips on hosting a virtual gala? Yes! If you are looking for tips, reach out to for more information.

What safety precautions will be in place at the Fairmont Waterfront? The in-person Vancouver gala will adhere to the public health guidelines to ensure guest and staff safe participation. If you live in the Vancouver area and have concerns attending the in-person event, please contact Tracy McElhinney at

Will I receive a tax receipt for my ticket purchase? In accordance with CRA guidelines, only the portion of tickets less the “value of benefits” will be utilized towards your tax receipt. This will be calculated post event. Please note auction items (unless the purchase price exceeds the value by 30% or more) and sponsorships are not eligible for tax receipts.

Do you issue refunds for virtual ticket sales? We hope that in the event you aren’t able to join us and have already purchased a ticket, you will consider making a fully tax receiptable donation in lieu of a refund. Please contact for more information.
