Our School
Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic Elementary School, located at 1000 Shipley Road, Wilmington, DE 19803, was opened to its parish community in 1957 by the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
For almost 60 years, IHM School has served the parishioners of Immaculate Heart of Mary, successfully educating thousands of students in accordance with their mission to “live and work so that all people may be united with God and with one another.”
Over time, the school expanded its reach to welcome both Catholic and non-Catholic students from several parishes throughout the Wilmington Diocese, plus students from the neighboring states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Today, the school annually educates approximately 450 students living within a 28-mile radius of the school.
This Project
We "Cooled the School" - Thank you to the tremendous help of our school, parish and community we have been able to install air conditioning not only to cool but also purify the air throughout the entire school. Our staff and students have already been able to benefit from the addition of this modern convenience.
The money raised through this fundraiser will continue to help and support our students. IHM is incredibly blessed by the support of its families, friends and parishioners. Thank you for making this event a huge success!
