About our Event

Hope for Hospice, the ungala gala, will take place Friday, September 25. This gala will include access to a set take-out menu at local restaurants (dinner not included in ticket price,) local entertainment, silent and live auctions supporting our local small businesses and a 50/50 draw all live-streamed into the safety and comfort of your home. A VIP add-on package will provide glamour hair and makeup tips to get you ready for the big night and an ingredient list for the welcome drink with a local bartender showing you all the tricks to make the perfect drink and be ready for the 7:00 p.m. start.

This virtual event that will leave you entertained and excited about supporting our community hospice. Tickets are $50 for the main event, with a VIP $25 pre-show add-on ticket available. A full tax receipt is provided for your ticket price $50 or $75, making your ticket a tax deductible donation, with the added benefit of exclusive access to the virtual event!

Unlike our handbags event, we never have to worry about ticket sales exceeding our room capacity and the entire community can join in on the same fun you’ve come to expect at Handbags for Hospice. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to supporting the care and support we provide to our residents and their families while in care. The cost of a single ticket will pay for two hours of dedicated overnight PSW care, providing much needed rest for the family. Only those who have purchased a ticket or provided a sponsorship will be able to “attend” this exclusive evening.

All silent and live auction items will be purchased from our local business to lend support to our friends through these difficult times. These items will be purchased with the help of our generous sponsors, providing our sponsors with an opportunity to not only help the hospice, but also help our small businesses, who are a vital part of our local communities.  A few handbags will also be featured in the silent and live auctions for those craving their new 2020 handbag.

There will be prizes for the most glam, funniest and best costumed couple, group or friends pictured or videotaped together and uploaded to our Facebook event page. Zoom pictures are a great idea if a group wants to get together on Zoom to enjoy the event, while social distancing.

VIP Experience

You can purchase access to a special pre-gala VIP event. This includes a mixology class with an expert bartender from The Tartan Tusk and a Get Glam Session with a hair and make-up artist from the Hair Connection.
