About Horizons at Foote

Our six-week summer program is complemented by year-round activities and Horizons Best Foote Forward (BFF), our high school program. Our project-based model combines hands-on academics with cultural enrichment and confidence-building pursuits like swimming, arts, and sports.

Swimming has been at the heart of the Horizons network since the first program was founded in 1964. Learning to swim teaches resilience and strategies to overcome obstacles, and it’s a favorite among our students. Learning to swim is about equity too - 65% of children who drowned in Connecticut over the past decade were Black or Hispanic. With your support, we can change that.

Raise Every Voice celebrates our community and raises the funds needed to run an outstanding program. Thank you for helping us reach our goal of $100,000 by buying tickets, donating and inviting your friends & family to hear from accomplished Olympians and swimmers.
