Back & Bad Ass! Honoka‘a Western Week
Join us in celebrating Hāmākuaʻs Paniolo Heritage!
In the last 70+ years, Honoka‘a Western Week has survived a World War, at least one serious earthquake, and a two-year pandemic, but the ever-popular series of events is alive and kicking, making a grand comeback May 19-29, 2023. We are very excited to bring back the popular Paniolo Parade and Block Party, with talent competitions, Portuguese Bean Soup and Smoke Meat contests and so much more, leading into the Annual Hawaiʻi Saddle Club Scholarship Rodeo.Visitors to town will see shops, restaurants and other businesses decorated Western style, and some will offer discounts and specials to those sporting Honoka‘a Western Week T-shirts and buttons. And, all along Mamane Street, shoppers stop and take shots at colorful “photostops” designed and painted by local artists.
Show your support and help celebrate by participating in the silent auction.
