About Hestóvin Stables
Mission Statement: To enhance the lives of children and adults who desire to explore the mental, emotional, social, cognitive, and physical benefits of therapeutic horsemanship through safe, guided interactions with Icelandic horses.
We provide adaptive riding lessons, on-ground lessons, special events, presentations, mindfulness workshops, and equine assisted learning. All of our programs promote partnerships between our clients and our horses. These partnerships capitalize the experience of the health benefits of interacting with horses. We foster an environment where we inspire, teach, and learn.
About the Event
We depend solely on donations to enable us to carry out our mission statement and to provide excellent experiences for all who participate in the activities of Hestóvin Stables Therapeutic Riding Center. Funding from the auction will help us become financially self-sustainable so that we can continue to provide therapeutic services to clients and to preserve the property as a green space “horse oasis” in the midst of a very busy and developed area in Grand Rapids.We will have a variety of items up for auction, including unique experiences, trips and getaways, artwork, gift baskets, gift certificates, and much more. There will also be food and drinks available and entertainment throughout the evening.Your support at this event will make a huge difference in our ability to continue serving our clients and maintaining our unique green space.
