About Our Event

“Monarch Place Transition House, the Royal City Rotary Club, and the Burnaby Rotary Club, are teaming up again for our 27th Annual Gala Fundraiser “To the Heart of the Matter”.  

Over the past 26 years, “To the Heart of the Matter” has raised over $1,100,000 for local and international charities.   As always, the proceeds are divided between the 3 partners.  Monarch Place Transition House provides shelter and support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse.  The Rotary Clubs have earmarked their projects for: New Westminster Victim Assistance Unit; New Westminster Secondary School Hot Lunch Program; and Rotary Club of Grenada ROTARY PROGRAMME: RCG Health Fair.
