Thank you so much for taking a moment to consider supporting Serenity Hospice & Home. We will be holding our annual Golf Play Day Fundraiser event on Saturday, June 15th at PrairieView Golf Course in Byron. Serenity Hospice and Home provides the highest quality, compassionate care to our terminally ill patients and their families. Not only do we provide the best in medical care to reduce pain and promote comfort, we also meet the psycho-social and spiritual needs of patients and their families. We hold fundraising events throughout the year to make this level of support possible. We would greatly appreciate the donation of items to include in our raffle selection at the Golf Play Day.
Proceeds from our Jonathon Knodle Golf Play Day event will go to support pediatric care. This annual fundraiser honors the life of Jonathon Knodle, the son of Lynn and Doug Knodle, who died in 1990. He was cared for by Serenity Hospice (formerly Ogle County Hospice) in the final months of his life. Both Doug and Lynn became passionate volunteers for Serenity following his death, and Lynn is now the CEO.
Lynn shares why this event is important to her, saying "Sadly, there is a shortage of hospices in our local area who are willing to provide pediatric care. Serenity is committed to serving anyone in need of end-of-life care, regardless of age. Everyone deserves to die with dignity and love. Families experiencing the death of a child need the critical services we provide during one of the most difficult experiences anyone could ever imagine facing. We are dedicated to doing anything and everything we can for these patients and their families."
We really appreciate your support as it allows us to ensure that all patients receive the same quality care Jonathon did and that families get the emotional support that meant so much to Lynn and her husband, Doug.
Serenity provides the highest quality, compassionate care to our terminally ill patients and their families. We are distinguished by our one-of-a-kind Serenity Home and innovative therapeutic bereavement center, The Serenity Shed. We never turn away a patient who needs hospice, including those who are not covered by Medicare or private insurance and are unable to pay. Serenity is committed to meeting the needs of our patients and their families with the utmost dignity and love now and for generations to come. We thank each and every one of our donors who make this vital work possible, allowing us to offer comfort and comprehensive support during one of life's most challenging times.
Thank you so much to our generous sponsors!
