Come rain or shine, enjoy delicious food, great company, and tremendous fun, plus  Silent & Live Auctions and a special performance by the talented students of Rolph Literacy Academy.

About 

Phillips Fundamental Learning Center

We help to make a bright future for children who struggle to learn to read, especially those children with dyslexia. Welcome to Phillips Fundamental Learning Center. And a sigh of relief.

Assess, evaluate, train and teach. That's what we do. We help teach children to read with Science of Reading based curricula, lessons and classroom-tested instruction that clicks with the learning style of these children. IMSLEC certified instruction for educators and parents is also provided here. 

Through our network of Certified Academic Language Therapists that extends throughout Kansas and points around the nation, we are known as both a resource and a safety net for parents and children to learn to thrive.

We are a privately funded 501(c)3, educational not-for-profit which serves children having reading, writing, and spelling difficulties, which includes children with dyslexia. 

Our mission specifically addresses the importance of teaching children to read using structured literacy instruction, as well as educating parents, teachers and the community.

About the 17th Annual Garden Party

Phillips Fundamental Learning Center’s Annual Garden Party is a beloved tradition and our biggest fundraising event of the year. Held on our breathtaking 24-acre campus, home to our Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired building that opened in 2023, this special evening brings together friends, families, and supporters to celebrate the life-changing work of PFLC.

One of the highlights of the event is our Annual Tuition Assistance Auction, which ensures that students at Rolph Literacy Academy receive the support they need to thrive. Whether you’ve been part of the PFLC family for years or are joining us for the first time, this is your chance to make a lasting impact—while having a fantastic time!

Enjoy a plant sale (just in time for Mother’s Day!), fabulous food from Truly Amazing Catering, signature drinks by Xclusive, live music, and an exciting live & silent auction.
