2022 Silent Auction

October 22, 2022

About the Auction

Our silent auction is one of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy’s largest fundraisers. Architecture and design lovers can support the Conservancy’s work by bidding for:

  • rare Wright memorabilia
  • original artwork and photography
  • unique collectibles
  • exclusive tours
  • overnight stays at Wright sites
  • brand-new and out-of-print books, and more

All proceeds further our mission of preserving Wright’s remaining built works. This year, the silent auction will take place at the Annual Gala and online as part of our fall 2022 conference event in Chicago and virtually!

Rules

  1. By bidding in Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy’s silent auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules.

  2. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted. All items are “as is.” Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.

  3. The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify the amount of deduction.

  4. Some Tours & Experiences packages require membership with the Conservancy. You can become a member by going to savewright.org/support/membership or by reaching out via email at preservation@savewright.org.

  5. Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the night of the auction through our online auction website. Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, & Discover.

  6. Following payments, items will be shipped to you based on size, weight, and care needed. Shipping and handling will be added to your final purchase price. Shipments will go out the following week and may take 7-10 business days for delivery, depending on the item. Most items will ship directly from the Conservancy’s office in Chicago. Some items may be shipped to you directly by the item donor, in which case we will help facilitate making arrangements.

  7. The Conservancy is making every effort to follow all public health and safety guidelines. If public health measures impose restrictions on our ability to work in or access our offices, there may be delays in shipping items. We will communicate with you if that is the case.

  8. Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction.

  9. When bidding on in-person experiences, please carefully consider the redemption deadlines indicated in the listings. Most experience donors are willing to be flexible in determining a mutually-agreeable and safe date for experiences, but some have more specific deadlines.

  10. The Silent Auction will close at 10:00 pm CDT on October 22th, 2022.
