About Our Event

The Chip in for Hunger Golf Outing is a charitable event benefitting the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. This year's outing has a goal to raise $50,000 to help feed the people in our 22 county service area. Help us make a big swing and join the drive to end hunger. 


18 holes, four-person scramble 

Please wear proper golf attire


Cost per player: $125

Cost per foursome: $500

Mulligans: $5 each/$20 per team

Skins: $20 per team

  • Longest Drive
    • Men's-golfer with the longest drive from the men's tee
    • Women's-golfer with the longest drive from the women's tee

    • Men's-drive must be on the green to win

    • Award for golfer who hits their drive closest to the line on the fairway on a designated hole

    • Take a gamble on your drive to double your money on a par 3

  • Putting Contest
    • Purchase a pre-numbered ball at registration to enter the putting contest to be held before the shotgun start. Half of the players entered into the contest will all putt at once. The player the closest to or in the cup will be declared the winner for the first round. The second half of the players will follow the same process as the first half. The two players closest to the cup or in, will play in a putt off for the final prize. 
  • Orange Ball Contest
    • Each team will receive one orange ball. Each player will take turns playing the orange ball. (Player 1 will play the orange ball on the first hole, player 2 on hole 2, etc.  Player 1 will then play the orange ball on hole 5, player 2 will play the ball on hole 6, etc.)  Continue playing using this rotation through the entire 18 holes. If the orange ball goes out-of-bounds, is lost, or not played during the tournament, the team is not eligible for the final prize.  The team with the highest score at the end of 18 holes that still has their orange ball will be declared the winner.
  • Hole in One Contests
    • Hole in one contests will give all golfers the chance to win a large prize, if they can make a hole in one on the designated holes.
  • Skins
    • Each team has the option to pay to enter the skins competition. Winners will be announced after all scorecards have been turned into the scorekeeper. If no team wins, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan will accept the winnings as a donation.

Raffles(Subject to Change):

  • 50/50 Raffle
    • The winner will receive 50% of the money received from 50/50 raffle ticket sales. The other 50% is retained by the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
