Delaware Citizen of the Year

honors a prominent area leader who has a wide influence in the business and professional community while serving as an exemplary role model for our youth. As President & Chief Executive Officer of LabWare, Inc., Mr. Vance Kershner is the epitome of Citizen of the Year. LabWare is a privately held company with over 500 employees in over 40 countries and customers in about 130 countries, representing approximately a 20% market share. 

This year's event will be held at the stunning Oberod Estate.

Located on Burnt Mill Rd in Wilmington, Oberod Estate is one of Mr. Kershner's personal restoration projects. This will be the first ever Citizen of the Year event held outdoors at an evening gala. All funds raised by this event will help to further the mission of the Boy Scouts of America - to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
