Established in 1975, Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County is a private, charitable 501(c)3 organization that supports individuals who are elderly, disabled and home bound by delivering nutritious meals, reducing hunger, improving health, and promoting independence. Beginning as a community service project to deliver one meal to one person, Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County was established as a result of a growing need identified by founders Mary Bray and Reverend David Garrigus. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the organization receives no state funding and very few federal dollars relying primarily on the generous support of caring individuals. Our primary goal is to help our clients remain living independently, within their own homes, for as long as possible. One of our 495 friendly volunteers compassionately delivers more than 56,800 meals each year to clients throughout the Hamilton County community.
MOWHC will be following the current CDC Guidelines at the time of the event. Currently, facemasks are not required by Embassy Suites of Noblesville, but social distancing is required.
