2024 Summit Silent Auction and Gift Card Raffle
Register ahead of time for this year’s Summit Fundraisers!
DakCU’s 2024 Summit Roger Heacock GAC-HTH Scholarship Fundraiser will once again be virtual, meaning you can participate from anywhere online in the Dakotas during this year’s Summit to be held May 14-16 right outside Sioux Falls, South Dakota!
In attempt to maximize our efforts, there will be two options to participate through ClickBid: a Silent Auction and a Gift Card Raffle, both benefitting our Heacock HTH Scholarship fund.
Roger Heacock GAC-HTH Scholarship Program
The GAC auction has generated approximately $50,000 in revenue over the last several years. The funds are then used to provide assistance scholarships to credit union professionals from North and South Dakota who attend the America's Credit Unions GAC Conference and other meetings, such as our annual “Hike the Hill” events. Since 2008, 88 scholarships have been awarded for a total of $70,000!
Donate a Prize!
To help us prepare for this live fundraiser, we kindly ask each credit union to submit the donated item(s) for the Silent Auction by May 6th.
To maintain our current level of assistance scholarships, we ask that these items have a minimum retail value of $100+.
Here are some suggestions for popular auction items:
- Premium Beverage Servers: Bartesian cocktails; margarita machines.
- Coffee and Espresso Machines: Nespresso; Keurig; L’OR Barista System.
- Gourmet and Leisure Baskets: Wine packages, theme gift baskets, cookware, grilling accessories.
- Inflatable Movie Screens: outdoor entertainment accessories.
- Sports and Recreation: Golf items, event tickets, tech items.
- Luxury Gifts: Jewelry, watches, handbags, high-end tech items from brands like Apple, Bose, Samsung.
- Gift Cards: Various gift cards/certificates to restaurants, Amazon, Visa cash cards, national chain stores.
- Vacation and Experience Packages: Weekend getaways, spa retreats, hotel stays, tours, unique experiences.
To properly promote these fundraisers to Summit attendees (and virtual non-attendees), we would like to publish the list of prizes ahead of the start on our ClickBid interactive site. As in the past, if you are attending the Summit, don’t forget to bring your prize donation for us to display. If no one from your credit union plans to attend this year’s Summit, we will contact you after the Summit to help deliver your donation to its winner. All bidders must be located in North or South Dakota to participate. Also, bidders must be 21 years of age or older to bid or purchase items that include alcohol.
