ABOUT BARBECURE

Lillie's Q is excited to host their third annual BarbeCure charity event on Wednesday, May 3 at District Brew Yards. A crew of talented chefs will go to battle again this year to see who has the tastiest chicken wings - and the winner will take home a trophy of epic proportions and, of course, bragging rights!

The all-star line-up includes Chicago chefs Stephanie Izard of This Little Goat, Zach Engel of Galit, Brian Jupiter of Ina Mae Tavern, Tim Flores and Genie Kwon of Kasama, and Oliver Poilevey from Obelix.

In addition to casting their votes in the chicken wing challenge, guests will enjoy a chicken tender bar, featuring all of the newly launched tender sauces from Lillie's Q; plenty of beer pours from District Brew Yards; and end the night with some sweet bites: ooey-gooey cookies from Levain Bakery and melt-in-your-mouth popsicles from Pretty Cool Ice Cream. There will also be a silent auction, featuring incredible vacations, meals, and gifts for the whole family.

Silent Auction opens May 1st online.

 BARBECURE CHARITY PARTNERS

The Katherine McKenna Brothers Scholarship Fund

Lillie’s Q Founder and Chef, Charlie McKenna, lost his aunt Katherine to breast cancer in 2000. The McKenna family founded the Katherine McKenna Brothers Scholarship Fund in Katherine’s honor and the Fund keeps her legacy alive by providing women full-ride scholarships to Katherine’s undergraduate alma mater, Brenau University in Gainseville, Georgia. To date, the fund has supported more than 19 women at Brenau University.

The Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation

The Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation is one of the nation’s leading breast cancer research not-for-profit organizations that is helping drive early-stage, innovative research, close the gap in medical training in the field of breast cancer through fellowships, and promote clinical and research collaboration through the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Symposium.
