This year our Cook for a Cause event is back in person. Our annual fundraising cooking competition will be taking place at Shermans Pioneer Farm off South Ebey Rd in Coupeville. This year we're looking at a festival style event including music, farm tours, and a number of food booths with finely crafted cusine from our local amature chefs. Each participant can purchase a passport to try foods from a variety of different categories and vote on their favorite dish receiving a stamp from each booth they visit.
Our event timeline is as follows:
Saturday July 23rd
5pm - Farm Tours of the Coupeville School Farm Garden
6pm - Booths open for food with live music
7pm - Coupeville Farm to School Program, Competition Winners, and Live Auction.
Passports will be $50 before the event and $60 at the door. Kids passports with fewer pages will be available for $20 before the event or $25 at the door.
With the success of the online auction in the past, we will be continuing to have an online auction but will be auctioning off a few big ticket items live at the event. The online auction will run from 12pm Friday July 15th to 8pm on Sunday July 23rd.
We are excited to bring people together to celebrate summer harvests, student learning, a delicious dinner and our online auction! You, our wonderful community of supporters, are the most important ingredient of the evening!
We look forward to having you join us on July 23nd!
Our online auction will run from Friday July 24th at noon until Sunday July 24th at 8pm.
We will be holding a live auction during the event for some of our most prized items.
Starting at 5pm we will be running walking tours from Sherman Farm to the Coupeville School Farm. It's just a short walk across Terry Road and you can see the wonderful foods being grown for use in the Connected Food Program's lunches at both the elementary and middle-high schools.
