Con Mi MADRE's Corazón Awards honors individuals making a significant impact on our organization and the Austin community through individual excellence and high levels of accomplishment.
Special thank you to our Honorary Chairs!
The 11th Annual Corazón Awards will benefit Con Mi MADRE's mother-daughter teams and honor our 11th anniversary as a non-profit.
During the Awards ceremony, we will honor Blanca and Bianca Garcia with the Con Mi MADRE Award, Lupe Morin with the Corazón Award, and Texas Capital Bank, Chris Rios, and Robert Franco with the Mariposa Award.
The Con Mi MADRE Award is presented to an educated, successful Latina who is living out our mission and serves as a role model for the young Latinas and their mothers in our program.
The Corazón Award is presented to leaders or organizations in the community who have made significant contributions to the education and empowerment of Latinas.
The Mariposa Award is presented to those who have made significant contributions in their field and have brought recognition to Con Mi MADRE through those contributions.
Con Mi MADRE is a two-generation organization that empowers young Latinas and their mothers through education and support services that increase preparedness, participation, and success in post-secondary education.
Con Mi MADRE translates to “with my mother,” which exemplifies the unique element of our programming that intentionally engages mothers in their daughter’s educational journey from 6th grade through college graduation.
Con Mi MADRE currently serves over 1,000 mother-daughter teams across Central Texas, El Paso, and Fort Worth. The majority of the families are low-income, and most of the girls will be first-generation college graduates.
