Please join us for our 6th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at The Addison Park in Aberdeen, NJ from 6 pm - 10 pm. We are delighted to salute a outstanding honorees:  Gian Paul Gonzalez, George Scott, EdS, LMFT, and Ravitz Family Markets - ShopRite.

HONOREES:

Gian Paul Gonzalez

Gian Paul Gonzalez is widely recognized for inspiring the New York Giants to their most recent Super Bowl victory with the phrase “All In”. He has been featured on ESPN as well as had notable appearances on Fox News and CNN. His inspirational talks have made him an internationally renowned speaker for NBA, NFL, English Premiere League, MLS & Fortune 500 organizations.

Gian Paul was a former NCAA First Team All-American forward from Montclair State University scoring nearly 1,400 points in his 3-year career. He played in the NBA Summer League and was offered professional basketball contracts, yet he turned them down to continue his work with at-risk youth. He was an educator at Union City High School and then became the founder & executive director of Hope + Future, an organization dedicated to using athletics & physical fitness to share a message of hope and striving for excellence in inner-city public schools and juvenile jails.

George Scott, EdS, LMFT

George Scott, EdS, LMFT is a NJ Licensed Family Therapist practicing at the Center for Counseling Services in Mercer County, NJ and specializing in helping individuals and families recover from the effects of life’s traumatic and toxic stress events. Most recently he created Minding Our Children, a forum for adults to understand the protective and healing power of Showing Up in the lives of children.

With a strong belief in the ability of children and families to heal from emotional hurt, George has focused his work on helping parents, professional educators and other adults understand their work in that healing.

Ravitz Family Markets is dedicated to supporting nonprofits and community-based organizations to strengthen the neighborhoods where their associates and customers live, work, and raise families. The Ravitz Cares Committee leads charitable efforts by holding store events and collecting funds through soliciting donations at the registers. Since its inception in 2006, the Cares Committee raised more than $2 million for local nonprofits.

About Us

The Child Wellness Institute, known as ChildWIN®, builds resilience and social-emotional health in children and families. With resilience, young people are more likely to withstand and overcome challenges, learn from them, and develop and succeed in healthy ways.  Our Healing Hearts® Series of workshops provides an overview of the impact of trauma on the developing child. We lead school personnel on the journey to develop a trauma-informed lens to better support children and families.  With your support, we’ve reached more than 10,000 educators who teach thousands of students.  Our Youth Resilience Program helps students learn communication skills, set goals, and build resilience.  We connect community leaders with underserved youth who benefit from mentorship.
