Please join us for Soirée Under The Star! 6:30 pm on May 13th, 2023 at Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek in Chester.  By attending this event you will help support and preserve the community we've built over the last 100 plus years, ensuring we can continue to grow, educate, learn and lend a hand in the larger community.  The evening will include dinner, drinks, live music, dancing and a whole lot of fun!  There will also be a silent auction consisting of fantastic bidding items, a themed basket raffle, and a wine pull.  

About Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek

We are a small and eclectic reform Jewish congregation located in Chester, CT. made up of 172 family units and individuals, our members come mostly from the CT River Valley and Middletown area but as far west as New Haven, as far east as New London and Noank, and north to Hartford and Storrs.

We welcome all types of mixed faith family units and single Jewish members. Our Rabbi, Marci Bellows, works with students regularly towards conversion and we welcome them to our community before, during and after their journey. We are inclusive of all LGBTQ+ individuals and family units. Financial status is irrelevant to membership as no one is turned away based on the ability to pay member dues. We are a loving, close knit, and welcoming community, striving to enhance the spiritual lives and connectedness of Jewish families and individuals in an area of Connecticut where Jewish people are scarce.

About the Event

The goal of this event is to raise funds for our synagogue's ongong programs and services that support the community and to throw a great party for our central Connecticut friends and neighbors while we are at it.  All of the proceeds from the auction, raffles, and donations will go to the important work of keeping our building open, enhancing children's and adult education, religious services, and programming activities that enrich our community, its culture, and its members.  Your generous contribution will help us achieve our goals, make a positive impact on our community, and continue the practice of Tikkun Olam, healing the world.
