The 13th annual Benefit for the Backside: A Day at the Races!

Benefit for the Backside: A Day at the Races presented by Post Parade Wines, is the Backside Learning Center's largest annual fundraiser. The event supports the BLC's mission to provide educational and social services to the equine workers and families at Churchill Downs.
Where to park Enter facility from Longfield Ave. Free Parking is available in the Yellow & Turquoise Lots (View parking map). Valet is also offered in the Blue Lot. Clubhouse Gate (Old Gate 10) You will need to enter through the Clubhouse Gate and stop by one of our volunteers outside the gate to pick-up your ticket before you enter. (No physical tickets will be issued before the event) Once inside the gate, grab a race program from Churchill Downs volunteers and follow ground level directional signage to the Clubhouse Elevators. Take the elevators to Millionaire’s Row 6th Floor and get started winning!
Wear your best silks or… (Millionaire’s Row - 6th Floor Dress Code) Jackets and blazers optional, vests, shirts with collars, sweaters, dresses, pantsuits, dress jeans and slacks are appropriate, as are golf shorts, dress shorts and capris. Worn or torn garments, halter tops, athletic wear, frayed or torn denim and midriff tops are considered inappropriate attire.
The Backside Learning Center is an independent, non-profit organization serving the equine workers and families at Churchill Downs. We provide adult education programs, after-school and summer youth programs and social services.
Our goal is to build community and enrich the lives of equine workers and families by providing the educational opportunities and resources they need to empower themselves and their children.
