Friends of the Library 50th Anniversary Celebration and Silent Auction

Join us on Friday, October 25th as we celebrate 

50 Years of Turning Donations into Gold 

In conjunction with Pellissippi State Community College Culinary & Hospitality Programs, we will host our Golden Anniversary celebration at the college's Blount Campus. This beautiful campus is located at 2731 W Lamar Alexander Parkway in Friendsville.  We will start at 6:00pm and wrap up at 9:00 pm and we would love to see you come out and support the library.  The celebration is a fundraiser for the library to fund a new bookmobile and if enough is raised, a book remote locker in Townsend. 

If you are the lucky winner of an auction item, items will be available for pick up the night of the Golden Anniversary Celebration between 8:00 and 9:00 pm.  You can always pick up your item(s) at the 

Blount County Public Library at 508 N. Cusick St. in Maryville on: 

Sunday, Oct. 27th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm or 

Monday, the 28th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm or 

Tuesday the 29th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

About the Friends of the Library

Blount County Friends of the Library members work together to sponsor special events, raise money, and volunteer for a variety of outreach and service programs that help the Blount County Public Library and our community. Currently, we have over 665 active members, including 130 volunteers who donated 12,000 hours over the past year.  We sell books that are donated to us both in person and on-line.  Last year, we provided the library over $140,000 to fund their programs.
