A Place at the Table is our annual spring gala, which welcomes over 1000 community leaders and allies of the global LGBTQ+ community for a star-studded night of fundraising and celebration.

Join us for dinner, special presentations, and performances as we gather to raise millions to support our LGBTQ+ homeless youth. Past hosts include Angelica Ross, Billy Porter, Tituss Burgess, Todrick Hall, and more

About the Ali Forney Center


The Ali Forney Center (AFC) protects homeless LGBTQIA+ youth (ages 16- 24) from the harms of homelessness and empowers them with the tools necessary to be safe, live independently, and thrive. AFC is the largest provider of comprehensive services and housing for homeless LGBTQIA+ young people in NYC and the nation, with 19+ years of experience providing care for this population.

AFC is also NYC’s only LGBTQIA+-specialized agency providing homeless, marginalized LGBTQIA+ young people with: 

  • Housing
  • Education and vocational training
  • Meeting basic needs such as access to showers, clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and laundry
  • Hot meals and to-go lunches
  • Food education and nutrition counseling
  • HIV prevention services
  • Primary health care
  • Mental health care including psychiatry and therapy
  • Substance use treatment
  • Crisis intervention
  • Street outreach
  • Support groups and legal referral
