Welcome to our Fall Preorder Plant Sale. 

We've got a wide assortment of really cool plants from Amorphophallus kiusianus which has the most amazing fruit stalks - they have to be seen to be believed - to an assortment of new trees and deer resistant ferns. 

To make the sale even better, not only will we have our recent redbud selections Golden Falls and Flame Thrower for sale but also our newest redbud on the market. 'White Pom Poms' from the Denny Werner-JCRA breeding and introduction collboration is the first and only double flowered, white native redbud. This plant is so new that it hasn't yet hit the garden centers and likely won't until this time next year at the earliest and in very limited quantities.

We've focused on outstanding small trees and deer resistant perennials to plant in shady spots but you'll see something for every garden. Don't hesitate to add Corylus fargesii (fabulous bark) or Parrotia persica 'Vanessa' (amazing fall color) to your cart; after all, great gardens are about more than just flowers. Some plants will be limited in quantity so don't delay your orders.

• No Shipping available. No exceptions. Sorry.
  
• JCRA Members can shop early. Become a member here.
• Know what size plant you are buying. Pot size is noted in the description and a "pot" shot is included showing similar size of plant. Note: "Glamour" shots are included to show what a more mature plant will look like.
• Plant picks-ups are scheduled. We will have your plants ready on the day you select.

How do I . . .   

. . .participate in the online sale?

Simple. Click the 'Register Now' button . You will need to provide your phone number, address and credit card details when you register to participate.

Once registered, you will be given instructions to log onto ClickBid where you can select the plants from your phone or from a computer. (details here).  Select the red "PAY" button to complete your order.

 . . .use my bidder number and password from a previous Arboretum sale or auction?

• ClickBid is no longer using your stored passwords. Instead, you gain access using a one-time-code.
• Enter cell phone number or email address below. 
• Enter one-time-code sent to you via email or text messaging at password prompt. (Note: Open text message to copy the code.)
  
• Update Credit Card details, if needed. (ClickBid only stores credit cards for 90 days.)

. . .participate if I do not remember the phone number or email address I used?

 No worries, register again or email jcra-events@ncsu.edu and we will send you the information.

. . .know what size plant I'm buying?

• Plant sizes are located in the plant description.  When we can, we also provide a photograph of a similar size plant in their existing pot. Any additional photographs or glamour shots are added to show you more mature plants. 

. . . pick up my plants? 

• Plant pickups are scheduled through Sign-up Genius. You will be provided a link to schedule a day and time to pick up your plants. Plants can be picked up at the JC Raulston Arboretum starting Wednesday, September 21. 
  We are not able to hold plants. Thank you for understanding.
  

. . .get my plants once I arrive on the pick-up day?   

• Plants are picked up at the JC Raulston Arboretum, 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh, NC 27606.
• Please have your vehicle ready in advance to receive your plants, this includes boxes or coverings to protect the interior of your vehicle.
  
• Plants will  be located in our brick circle; just drive up and check-in to receive your plants.
