About Amas Musical Theatre

Amas Musical Theatre embraced multiculturalism in theatre long before the term became a corporate mantra. Since 1968, we've been a force in New York City, developing and producing new American musicals, a pioneer in non-traditional casting and equity, and a proponent of theatre arts education for young people. Rosetta LeNoire launched Amas as a laboratory for cooperation and collaboration among artists and students, and for audiences of all backgrounds. Over 50 years later the vision and mission are still making an impact.  All auction purchases go directly towards supporting new voices in musical theatre.
