Registration Instructions
- Enter your phone number or email to the "Welcome!" area above to register or log in. Note: Your email address and phone number may already be in the system. Please check both of them before starting a new registration to avoid duplicates.
- A credit card must be on file to register and bid on items. It is totally free to register.
- All people that register to bid by Nov. 23 will be entered in a drawing for their chance at two $50 Amazon Cards.

Make a Donation or Become a Sponsor
- We thank three donors that agreed to match donations and sponsors up to $40,000. Every gift, large or small, moves us closer to our goals.
- Use the Donation button above or Donation Item in the Auction site. There are varying levels for the donations - $5000+ Titanium, $2500+ Diamond, $1000+ Platinum, $500+ Gold, $250+ Silver, $100+ Bronze.
- You can also help financially by the following: • Donate appreciated securities, used cars or boats, and other valuables. • Include the Fleis Education Foundation in your will or estate plans. • Designate life insurance proceeds to continue your legacy of giving.
- Your generosity ensures that students with financial need have the chance to reach their full potential. Together, we can keep education within reach for generations to come.
Auction Information - start and closing
- Bidding starts on Wednesday, November 13, 2025
- All auction items close on Sunday November 23 with staggered closing times. The planned closing time is shown on the details of each auction item. There are four different closing times, so it is important that you watch for items that you are interested in to avoid last minute surprises that someone may outbid you.
Bid closing time(s) may be extended
- At the committee’s direction, the closing time for groups of auction items or individual auction items may be extended if there is active bidding within 15 minutes of the planned closing time.
- Additional extensions of closing times may happen depending on bid activity.
Event Details
General Auction Information
- Every effort was made to provide accurate information for each item. We are not responsible for description, values, or authenticity of information supplied by donors.
- There are no refunds or exchanges.
- Auction items may be substituted, withdrawn, or added prior to the event at the committee’s discretion.
- The Foundation is an IRS-approved 501(c)3 and your donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. A portion of your auction item purchases may be tax-deductible. Please consult with your tax advisor. Our tax ID is 20-0302442.
How does the bidder know if they won?
- A starburst will appear on each auction item you won or lost after the auction closes – or in the Menu, look at “My Items” for winning .
- A red “PAY” button will appear on the bidding page if you won an item or made a donation. Click the red "PAY" button to view your invoice and list of items won and to check out.
Info on Free Shipping & Sales Tax
- There are two pickup locations available: Cedar and Grand Rapids, Michigan. If these locations are not convenient or you live outside the area, we will ship anywhere in the continental United States at no charge except where noted on the bid items. You will be contacted for pickup or shipping needs. Thank you to our supporters at BTM Industrial for underwriting the cost of shipping.
- Michigan sales tax will be collected as per Public Acts 167 of 1933, 122 of 1941, and 281 of 1967, as all amended.
Payments
- Credit cards will be processed within a couple of days of the event.
- If you prefer to use a different form of payment other than the credit card on file, please text Jeanette at 231-578-5135 or email her at jrthurow@hotmail.com after you are done bidding or after the auction closes.
About the Ed & Irene Fleis Education Fund
Our mission is to help students with financial need and to encourage them to continue their education, whether at a university or trade school. A student who is a resident, or a direct lineal descendant of a resident in Leelanau County, Michigan, qualifies – regardless of where they live now or how long ago their family lived in Leelanau County. - IRS approved 501(C)(3) Charity, donations are fully tax deductible per IRS guidelines.
- Operates with minimal overhead: no paid staff or board members—entirely run and administered by volunteers.
- Scholarship recipients chosen by independent third-party committees, ensuring impartial selection.
- Goal is to have donations and fundraising dollars grown the Foundation. Scholarships are paid from growht and investment earnings.
- Provides scholarship for college pursued curriculum or trade schools.

The Foundation has awarded over $847,000 in scholarships and over 437 students were helped since 2006.
