Why You Should Attend

The Travis Foundation is committed to investments that deliver long term, positive impact to the entire Travis Elementary community of students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration.

  1. Fund the Future
The Travis Foundation serves as a source of stable, discretionary funding to augment financial support provided through Houston ISD and by the Travis PTA. The Foundation also maintains a capital reserve to ensure stable, predictable, long-term discretionary funding for the school.

  2. STRENGTHEN TRAVIS ELEMENTARY
The Travis Foundation investments strengthen Travis as a leading, innovative learning environment. We fund targeted initiatives and impactful grant requests that enhance school infrastructure, teacher development, and student achievement, and that support the school’s core values.

  3. ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN SUPPORT OF TRAVIS
The Travis Foundation aims to foster long-term community support through outreach and engagement.

  • installing new flooring
  • replacing the broken window coverings
  • purchasing new, comfortable lounge furniture
  • creating cozy, safe reading nooks
  • designing a Makerspace section for robotics, STEM projects, arts and crafts, etc.
  • upgrading technology
  • fresh, welcoming paint
  • sensory panels
  • most importantly, new, updated, and diverse books
  • and so much more!

Sign Up Parties!

Sign-Up Parties are exclusive parties or events planned and sponsored by Travis families or teachers with tickets sold before and during the gala. They almost always sell out, some within minutes!   Submit it here.

Anyone can host a sign-up party.  You choose the time, place, number and type of attendees (“adults,” “4rd graders", “moms only," etc.), and ticket price.  Sign-up parties generally occur post-auction through the spring and summer.  Sign-up parties are listed as part of our silent auction collection, but feel free to encourage your friends to purchase tickets to them!  Once the auction period has ended, you will receive a list of contact information for everyone that bought a ticket, and you can email the guests specific details of the event.  All ticket sales will go directly to the Travis Foundation. Your costs for hosting the event are tax deductible.  Contact treasurer@travisfoundation.org if you have any questions prior to submitting your party.
