Thanks for a Great Event!

Thank you so very much for being a part of SF Shakes' An Evening in Verona gala on April 26, 2025. Click here to see more photos from the event.

In these times of tremendous uncertainty and threats to the arts, people came together to each do their part, and we accomplished something extraordinary.

With the generous support of over 200 people - through ticket sales, table purchases, auction winning bids, and donations - we raised $157,200 for our arts and education programs.

This is the most we’ve ever raised in a single night in our 40+ year history!

Here are more opportunities for connection with SF Shakes:

* There’s just one more chance to see Romeo and Juliet this Sunday, May 4 at 2 pm. The production you saw at the gala will be performing for free at San Bruno City Park on the lawn near the gazebo, 251 City Park Way, San Bruno, CA 94066.

* Watch Stanford’s Dr. Roland Greene talk about Romeo and Juliet. As Artistic Director Carla Pantoja mentioned, she and Board Member Dan Rabinowitz will be hosting more installments of these "Let's Talk About..." conversations throughout the summer.

* Speaking of summer, check out the dates and locations for the 2025 Free Shakespeare in the Park production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Proceeds from the event support our mission to make the words and themes of Shakespeare accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status, or level of education. Your contributions ensure the continuation of arts and education programs like Free Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare’s Heartbeat, Shakespeare On Tour, and Bay Area Shakespeare Camps.

If you believe in the power of the performing arts to transform lives, then join us and celebrate the enduring artistry of Shakespeare!
