Thank you for joining us at the beautiful BEAST Facility for COMEA's Annual Tacos & Tequila.
Our shelter has the capacity to house 48 men and 12 women in our main dorms, 10 men and 6 women in our Pay to Stay (PTS) dorms, and 10 individuals in our Transitional Living Program (TLP). We serve hot breakfast and dinner 7 days a week, $3 sack lunches for those who work and hot lunch on Sunday. We also offer clothing, laundry vouchers, and hair cut vouchers to our clients.
Case management is a requirement for everyone in our program. Clients must meet with their case worker weekly. During these meetings, the case worker assesses the clients' needs such as documents they may need (i.e., birth certificate, Social Security card, Identification card/license), connected to services/agencies, help filling out applications (i.e., SNAP, Housing authority, Medicaid/Medicare, Social Security), and any physical or mental health needs. Every Tuesday evening, we have a Journey Class. These classes are mandatory to all residents except TLP. In these classes, case managers teach about different sufficiency skills for example budgeting, nutrition, healthy relationships, housekeeping, and self-care, along with having people form the community come and talk about different services available.

COMEA Shelter's annual Tacos & Tequila Event is our biggest fundraiser and helps support our operations and overall resources we give to our residents, and community. With your support, COMEA can continue to offer its programs and services to those facing homelessness or need help finding resources from social security, housing or any other barriers.
