Buffalo Adventures and Harvest Hays are two enterprises of The Arc of Central Plains.

Buffalo Adventures is a dynamic community group dedicated to providing fun and inclusive outings for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They organize a variety of events such as bingo nights, laser tag, pool parties, and more, offering participants a chance to socialize, explore new activities, and enjoy memorable experiences. 

These events are tailored to the interests and needs of the IDD community, creating a sense of belonging while promoting awareness, inclusion, and connection. 

Harvest Hays is a small non-profit farm of The Arc of Central Plains operated by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) transitioning from high school to real-world jobs. They are dedicated to providing meaningful vocational and life skills training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). 

Using high tunnels for efficient and sustainable crop cultivation, the farm offers hands-on agricultural work that helps participants build confidence, responsibility, and experience. 

Harvest Hays sells its fresh, locally grown produce every Saturday at the Downtown Hays Market while also offering a subscription box service. They have also partnered with local restaurants to supply fresh ingredients. Harvest Hays will be selling some   treats and their produce at the Recycled Reindeer Christmas Market!

By participating in this bidding process, individuals have the opportunity to contribute towards creating new and life-long experiences for members of the IDD community. Every bid made brings us one step closer to breaking down barriers and promoting inclusivity within our community.
