Take a spectacular tour of a Wright house on Lake Michigan! Just 90 minutes from Chicago, the Ina Morriss Harper House (1950) in St. Joseph, MI offers Wright’s take on a stunning view of Lake Michigan. You and up to three guests will enjoy a tour from the owners of this wonderfully restored home followed by wine and hors d’oeuvres. The lucky winners will hear the inspirational story of the beloved pediatrician, Dr. Ina Morriss Harper, who commissioned and inspired this home. Archival photographs will be shared, along with relevant newspaper articles about Dr. Harper and the house Wright designed for her. If desired, guests can view full-scale copies of Wright's 1950 blueprints, as well as blueprints from the 1983 addition (designed by Taliesin apprentice Charles Montooth). This tour is for up to 4 people and will be set at a mutually agreed upon time between October 2024 and October 2025. The tour will take place during the day or early evening to provide guests with an opportunity to experience the lake vista as framed by Wright’s soaring architecture in the Great Room. The experience will last a minimum of two hours.
